🗑️ How to Delete Your ChikaMo Account

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently removed from our active systems.
Option 1: Delete Account Through Settings (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is through the ChikaMo app settings:
1 Log in to your ChikaMo account
2 Navigate to Settings by clicking the ⚙️ Settings icon in the sidebar or menu
3 Select 'Delete Account' from the settings tabs
4 Read the warning about permanent data deletion
5 Type the confirmation message:
I agree to delete my Chikamo account today with its related data.
6 Click 'Delete My Account' and confirm your choice

Option 2: Request Account Deletion via Email
If you cannot access your account, you can request deletion by email:
What Happens When You Delete Your Account?
- Permanent removal of your profile information (name, email, bio)
- Deletion of all saved data including conversation history and preferences
- Loss of access to all ChikaMo services and features
- Anonymized data used for AI training cannot be retrieved or deleted
- This action is immediate and irreversible
Data Retention After Deletion
After you delete your account:
- Your personal data is removed from active databases immediately
- Backup copies may retain your data for up to 30 days before permanent deletion
- Anonymized and aggregated data used for AI training may be retained
- We may retain certain information to comply with legal obligations

No. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You would need to create a new account.
❓ How long does deletion take?
Through the app settings, deletion is immediate. Email requests are processed within 7-14 business days.
❓ What if I signed up with Google/Facebook?
Deleting your ChikaMo account does not delete your Google or Facebook account. You can still use the app settings option to delete.
❓ Can I delete my data without deleting my account?
You can request specific data deletion by emailing us at privacy@chikamo.cgpcorp.org.
